Kayla and Joey’s love story began in tenth grade back in 2017 at Ward Melville High School, where they first became best friends. What started as a close friendship soon turned into a crush, and before they knew it, they had officially become high school sweethearts, inseparable from that moment on.

From hallway hellos and basketball games to prom nights and late-night drives, they navigated high school side by side, growing closer with every memory. When graduation came around, they didn’t just move on to the next chapter. They chose to keep writing it together, heading to Stony Brook University and taking on college life as a team.

Over the years, Kayla and Joey truly grew up together. They supported each other through classes, career beginnings, life changes, and all the big and small moments in between. They balance each other perfectly, bringing out the best in one another through laughter, patience, and unconditional support. Whether it is the everyday routines or the once in a lifetime moments, they approach everything as a partnership, always better together than apart.

While everything around them evolved, one thing never did. Their love, their friendship, and the deep connection that comes from choosing each other every single day. They are each other’s biggest supporters, best friends, and favorite place to land, and their love continues to grow stronger with every year they share.

After nearly a decade of memories, Joey popped the question in Punta Cana, right on the beach. It was the perfect setting to ask Kayla to spend forever together. She said yes, obviously, and now they are counting down to the best day yet.

They are so excited to celebrate their love with the family and friends who have been part of their journey from the very beginning, and they can’t wait to start this next chapter as husband and wife.
